In his role as Wealth Advisor, Austin offers access to a full range of comprehensive financial services, including estate, financial and income planning, as well as strategic and tactical portfolio construction and management. Austin also assists with developing client relationships, portfolio construction, financial planning and trade execution.
Austin joined Sullivan and Schlieman Wealth Management in April of 2021. Austin graduated from the University of Georgia in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He holds his series 6, 63, 65 and 7 securities licenses with LPL Financial.
Prior to joining SSWM, Austin spent the first 8+ years of his career in a number of sales and portfolio management positions at BlackRock. His time with BlackRock was spent across a number of different office locations, including Boston, Princeton, Charlotte and Atlanta. Most recently, Austin worked as an investment professional on BlackRock’s pension OCIO team. The pension OCIO team was responsible for managing $30 billion in assets for defined benefit plans across the United States and Mexico.
Austin currently serves on the board of trustees for Center Point. Center Point is a Gainesville based non-profit dedicated to promoting the success of students and families through teaching and personal development. Austin is also a member of the Leadership Jackson Class of 2023. Upon graduating the program, participants will have gained the skills to use towards helping the community, their employers and themselves for the better. Throughout the program, participants are exposed to many of the vital parts of what makes a community successful. Leadership Jackson applicants are nominated, complete an application process and are selected by the Leadership Jackson Advisory Council.
Austin and his wife, Caitlyn currently live in Jefferson, Georgia. He is a proud Uncle of 8 incredible nieces and nephews, and enjoys spending time at their sporting events on the weekends. Austin also enjoys spending free time traveling, playing golf, cooking and attending UGA football games.
